Soline - the main rental beach
Soline is the main beach with sunbed rental in the immediate Biograd area:
- 2-person setup (2 sunbeds + umbrella): 15-25 EUR per day in peak summer
- 2-person setup half-day (after 14h): 8-15 EUR
- Single sunbed: 8-12 EUR per day
- Premium front-row: 25-35 EUR per day
Pay at the kiosk on the beach. No reservations - first come, first served. In peak summer (July-August), front-row sunbeds are taken by 10 a.m.
In shoulder season (May, June, September), rates drop 5-10 EUR and availability is excellent.
Biograd town beach
Biograd town beach near Hotel Ilirija has a smaller sunbed rental operation:
- 2-person setup: 10-20 EUR per day
- Single: 6-10 EUR per day
Less variety than Soline (no premium tiers, fewer sunbeds total) but convenient if you are walking from the centre.
Crvena luka resort beach
Crvena luka resort at Bosana cove (south of Pakostane) operates a private beach section with full service:
- Sunbed + umbrella: 25-40 EUR per day, includes attendant service (drinks brought to your sunbed)
- VIP cabana: 80-150 EUR per day
Open to outside guests (not just resort visitors). Higher price reflects the setting (red cliffs, deeper water) and the service.
The public part of Bosana beach next to the resort has no rentals - bring your own.
Beaches where you bring your own
No sunbed rental at:
- Drazica beach: bring beach tent, towel, umbrella
- Janice in Pakostane: small kiosk for food but no sunbeds
- All unmarked coves: bring everything
- Pasman island beaches: most are unrentaled
Bring:
- Beach tent (15-30 EUR at seafront sports shops)
- Towel for each person
- Foldable beach chair if comfort matters (10-25 EUR at supermarkets)
- Reusable water bottle and snacks
The lack of rentals is part of why these beaches stay quieter.
Tips for getting a good sunbed
- Arrive by 9 a.m. in peak July-August to get front-row at Soline
- Mid-week is easier than weekends for premium spots
- Pay for half-day if you arrive after 13h - you save 30-40%
- Off-season (May, June, September): walk in any time, plenty of choice
- Bring exact change - some kiosks struggle with 100 EUR notes
- Avoid corner sunbeds near the bar music if you want quiet
- Tip the attendant 1-2 EUR for good service (especially at Crvena luka where service is included)
